suafa'i cocktail

i have a bad habit. i tend to put a little bit of whatever im cooking in a mug, then add some vodka to it. im just an experimental, i cant help it. and no im not an alcoholic.

so the other day, mum had noticed the bananas were ripe enough to make every samoans dream food, suafa'i.

its bananas, coconut cream, and sago. thats it. but i really surprised myself after i boiled the bananas i tasted the water. it was banana juice and om my god i was so proud

but i didnt mix that with vodka, this is where the majic happens.
i cooked the suafa'i like usual. boil bananas, cook sago, add the two, add coconut cream, boil, voila.

i got a bit curious though. so i put some into a mug, minus the banana, so it was sago, coconut cream and banana broth lets call it. then i added a tilt of vodka. i call it a tilt because i tilted it until i got some in there then lifted it up. thats a tilt

anyway, i drunk, i liked, i resumed cooking,

i call it, the drunken pirate coz after one sip i was tipsy. vodka doesnt make me tipsy. also it didnt help that a potential future boss was calling soon and i was like: nfkdjbglfgbagk

unfailingly delish chook (or ham, whatever tickles your buttons) sandwich

ok... so this is possibly the best sandwich out. it beats everyones fave, the classic ham and cheese,

its the delish chicken (or ham), spinach, cheese and... jam.

there you go theres my amazing secret ingredient. jam. not strawberry jam, not marmalade, but 3 berry jam.

whats in 3 berry jam? well, its blackberry, rasberry and im gonna take a wild shot at this, strawberry. because i cant imagine blueberry in a jam, its just too tasteless....
so there you have it.

but it tastes better in toasted bread, every sandwich does. but dont toast the actual sandwich. otherwise itl be gross. you gotta just toast the bread.....
than when it cools just add everything

then you have a nice crispy healthy bad ass sandwich
